GIVING LONDON A NEW VOICE.
That Lot Theatre Company is a collective of artists committed to delivering unapologetic, honest and truthful theatre through the lens of the blackly comic and the gritty urban aesthetic.
Our work will be challenging and relevant, whilst remaining contemporary and fun, our philosophy is to produce work through various mediums for a wider audience.
Inspired by Realism in visual and literal art forms, That Lot hope to create engrossing and stylish drama for people who might not necessarily go to the theatre. Breaking through as a hub for performers and creatives and giving them a foundation to grow from.
Dedicated to giving London a new voice.
Adam Bloom is the Co-Founder of That Lot Theatre Company. An actor from North London, able to comfortably flow between dramatic and comedic styles, he has honed his intense and grounded approach through various educational and artistic endeavours. Graduating from UCA Farnham Film School in 2014 Adam went on to direct various short films, including the Cinephilia Founders award-winning The Pick-Up in 2016. Drawn to the theatre through his passion for film he began a long-term collaboration with Crooked Tree Theatre, taking the lead role in the faux-Shakespearean tragicomedy Family Duels at the Camden Fringe in 2015 and featuring in The Crooked Cabaret of Curiosities in 2016.
The acting bug turned into a burning desire and roles such as Jokanaan in Salome in 2016 and in several short films, live-readings and other mediums have followed. Over the past 2 years Adam has sharpened his craft by studying acting with Laurence Mitchell and taking up classes at The Actors Centre and Home Studio London. Having developed a more distinctive style and appreciation through a wide range of creative experiences he plans to continue acting, writing and directing both for the stage, with That Lot, and for the screen.
